CreateAthon@USC: Students, mentors and professors alike join to produce comprehensive advertising campaigns for nonprofits in the Columbia area.
Student Gamecock Television (SGTV): The station airs student-created content that is specific to our students but enjoyable to all. SGTV gives students a practical application of media arts and journalism coursework in a safe learning environment, where taking risks and trying new things are encouraged.
The Carolina Agency: The Carolina Agency students love a challenge and the opportunity to create solid, award-winning communication strategies and tactics. The student teams serve various client categories including start-up companies, nonprofits and university organizations.
Bateman Team: This team develops and implements a public relations campaign as part of a national competition (PRSSA’s Bateman Competition).
Ad Team: Each year, a South Carolina student team participates in the National Advertising Competition (NSAC). The team faces a real client challenge and stiff competition from across the country.
The Daily Gamecock: This student-run publication provides students with relevant information concerning campus-related events and issues. Team members gain hands-on experience creating online and print news content
Garnet and Black Magazine: The magazine focuses on issues of general interest to the Carolina community, as well as those related to diversity, arts and culture, and local highlights. The magazine is entirely student-produced, from articles to photography to style and design, and We serves as a platform for underrepresented voices.
