Bio
Christine Anderson is the Director of Archives at the Native American Studies Center.
As the archivist, Christine develops the center's two archival collections around the history and culture of South Carolina Native American tribes and USC Lancaster. Much of Christine's research interests lie in the use of GLAM settings (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums) for cultural heritage engagement. She is also keenly interested in South Carolina history and food culture. She looks forward to teaching and engaging on archives, records management, and the American south.
Christine is a South Carolina native from Georgetown. She spent the early part of her career in journalism, where she was a reporter, photographer, and editor and wrote regular food and culture features on the Lowcountry. She was also a travel writer for Fodor's Travel Guides. She earned a Master's in Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Coastal Carolina University.
