Your journey as a USCL student begins by following these next steps:
1. Set up your Self Service Carolina and email accounts.
- Claim your VIP ID. Your VIP ID can be found on your acceptance letter.
- Set-up Multifactor Authentication.
- Claim your Network Username, under the “View my IDs and manage my passwords link” under the personal section.
- Your email will be firstname.lastname@example.org.
- A tutorial is available to assist you with claiming and accessing your accounts. Be sure to check your university email on a regular basis as important communications from Financial Aid, Admissions, and various campus departments will only be sent to your university email.
2. Submit your Citizenship Verification Form and Documentation.
3. Submit your Immunization Form and provide proof of immunations.
4. Submit your SC Residency Certification form in Self-Service Carolina. This online form MUST BE done to qualify for in-state tuition.
5. Complete the Math Placement Test before your Orientation date.
If you are a new freshman, new transfer, or recently readmitted student whose address has changed during the application process, please complete the Change of Address Form. Please complete the PDF form in its entirety and fax back to the Office of Admissions at 803-313-7116 or bring it to Starr Hall 123. All continuing students must update any address changes in Self-Service Carolina.
