All tuition and fees for Palmetto Pathway students are consolidated, and must be paid through my.sc.edu.
Palmetto Pathway partners with USC Lancaster for financial aid purposes. Palmetto Pathway students should update their Free Application for Federal Student Aid and list UofSC Lancaster on their FAFSA (school code: 003453)
State Scholarship and Financial Aid Programs
Students who qualify for any state aid program, including the SC LIFE Scholarship, Lottery Tuition Assistance or SC need-based grants, are eligible for the award as a Palmetto Pathway student. Please consult the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education's website at www.che.sc.gov for specific rules outlining state financial aid program requirements. Note: South Carolina state scholarships are available only to South Carolina residents.
The Palmetto Pathway program fee covers academic success programs, student activity fees, health center fees, wellness center access, and other program-specific offerings from both institutions. Your tuition cost per semester will vary depending upon your legal residency status and your total number of credit hours each semester:

*2024-2025 academic year tuition and program fees will be set in summer 2023 by the Board of Trustees.
**Fall term fees include one-time application and enrollment fees. A deposit of $750 is required for fall and applies as an advanced payment toward the program fee for fall.

You can view your bill on my.sc.edu. Visit the UofSC Bursar’s Office website for payment deadlines and other details.
You can pay online through Self Service Carolina or in USC Lancaster Business Office. Business Office hours are 8:30 am -5:00 pm Monday – Friday. The Business Office only accepts cash, checks and money orders. Credit card payments are only accepted through the online payment portal. Visit the UofSC Bursar’s Office website for more information.
The University of South Carolina offers a payment plan option for students. The tuition and fees balance is divided into four equal payments across the semester for which you are registered. There is an administrative fee of $75.00 to create a payment plan. When the plan is established, you are required to pay 25% of the total value of the plan plus the $75 administrative fee. The remaining three payments are due over the next three months on or around the 10th of the month. There is a late charge of $100.00 per month up to a maximum of $300.00 per semester. Payment plans are only valid for the current semester’s balance due and need to be set up every semester.

Refund eligibility for dropped classes will vary based on the length of time you spend in class. Refer to the Parts of Term Dates to determine cutoff dates for refund eligibility.
