Dr. Jason C. Darby
Director, Office of Corporate and Community Engagement
Dr. Jason Darby leads the Office of Corporate and Community Engagement and brings more than a decade of service as Palmetto College’s Director of Marketing and Communications. His background includes workforce and economic development at Trident Technical College, corporate public affairs with SCANA Corporation, national association sponsorship and budget oversight, and entrepreneurial work in market research and brand development. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Carolina, is a graduate of the USC Emerging Leaders Program, a Riley Fellow of the Richard W. Riley Institute of Government, Politics and Public Leadership at Furman University, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Jason also earned a Master of Mass Communication from USC and a B.A. in Professional English from South Carolina State University.
Terrence D. Gilmore
Corporate and Community Engagement Specialist
Terrence Gilmore brings more than 15 years of experience across higher education, business development, and corporate client relations. He previously served as Director of Recruitment for Palmetto College, leading statewide outreach, partnership development, and enrollment initiatives. His past roles span South University, Saint Leo University, Webster University at Shaw Air Force Base, Limestone University, and Office Depot’s public‑sector accounts division. Terrence also serves in the USC Staff Senate, demonstrating his commitment to shared governance and collaboration. He holds an M.S. in Management from Southern Wesleyan University and a B.S. in Child & Family Development from Benedict College.
Leah Kososki
Corporate and Community Engagement Specialist
Leah Kososki previously served as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor (2019–2026) and brings substantial experience in higher‑education governance, legislative relations, executive administration, and stakeholder engagement across the USC system. She also served as Deputy Director of Marketing and Product Development at the South Carolina Education Lottery, where she held senior marketing and operations roles, managed a multimillion‑dollar budget, and contributed to significant revenue growth. Leah holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Management and Marketing) from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of Leadership Columbia.
