A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology will provide students with the background needed for further graduate study in the field or for pursuing career opportunities in a wide range of professions such as counseling, social work, medicine, law, management, education, sales, advertising, and marketing.

A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology prepares students with a broad knowledge of the principles of human behavior and mental processes. At USCB, psychology students will explore how individuals learn, think, develop and how we differ from one another in our thoughts, attitudes, motivations and actions.

Core Courses in the program will provide the fundamentals in the study of human behavior while experimental research courses and hands-on research experiences will equip students with the tools for scientific inquiry. Upper-level electives allow students to tailor course selection to meet their interest and long-term educational and career goals.

An undergraduate psychology degree prepares students for a wide range of fields such as in the helping professions such as counseling, social work, and medicine, and also for such diverse fields as law, management, education, community and public affairs, sale, advertising, marketing, research and writing.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology at USCB assures that the student will be exposed to the broad spectrum of subfields of psychology.
