High School Students Earn Associate Degrees

7 dually enrolled members of the Class of 2020 not only earned their high school diplomas, but also their associate degrees with honors from USC Salkehatchie. They are: Colleton County High School - Sarah Ward; Estill High School - Mecca Perkins and Shavon Roberts; Wade Hampton High School:  Shaniqua Henry, Josalyn Sanders, Jordan Murdaugh and Alasia Powell.

County High School graduate Sarah Ward (pictured) was recognized at CCHS commencement exercises for earning both an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science (with highest honors) from USC Salkehatchie, earning over 75 college credits while a high school student. Additionally, CCHS’s top 3 graduates each earned over 50 college credit hours through the program.

USC Salkehatchie’s dual enrollment program allows qualifying students to earn college credit at no cost while still in high school through a partnership with the university and high schools within the Salkehatchie region.
