USC Salkehatchie is pleased to announce it will host in-person spring commencement ceremonies to recognize the achievements of the class of 2021 in an outdoor ceremony on April 30 at 10:30 a.m. on the Allendale campus.   

“This is a special time for our graduating students, and we want to recognize their accomplishments—especially after a most difficult and challenging year. We all look forward to this day of celebration with our students and their families,” Dean Chris Nesmith said.

The decision was made after consultation with public health experts.  Strict COVID protocols will be implemented to ensure safety.  Some key differences at this year’s ceremony will include:

• Chairs spaced to allow for social distancing
• No reception or other indoor events
• Masks required
• Abbreviated ceremony

USC Salkehatchie continues to monitor the COVID-19 data trends and will modify its plans should circumstances warrant.  Additional information will be provided closer to the commencement date.
