USC Salkehatchie Celebrates Student Excellence at 2026 Academic Awards Reception

WALTERBORO, S.C. — The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie honored its top students for their academic achievements and leadership during the annual Academic Awards Reception held on April 14 at Marvin Park on the Walterboro campus.
 
The ceremony, opened by Dean April Cone, recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their studies and a commitment to excellence within their respective disciplines. A highlight of the evening was the Graduation with Leadership Distinction cording ceremony, acknowledging students who have gone above and beyond the traditional classroom experience.
 
Dr. Sarah Miller, Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, shared her pride in the students' accomplishments.
 
"It is a privilege to celebrate the hard work and intellectual curiosity of our students," Dr. Miller said. "Their commitment to excellence not only sets a high standard within our classrooms but also prepares them to be the future leaders and innovators our region needs. We are proud of everything they have accomplished this year."
