For me leadership development is an ongoing process. It’s more than academic, learning as you go, or reading the latest book. Learning to lead also includes a “pouring in and pulling out” concept. It is my understanding that people who are further down the road on their leadership journey will be “pouring into” me from their experiences and expertise. Others on the leadership journey willing will be “pulling out” of me new or better developed skills, disciplines, and leader abilities throughout the program. After all, leaders are made, not born.
