News and Internal Communications supports the University of South Carolina’s mission by promoting news and achievements to local, state, regional and national media. The news team utilizes social media and a variety of print and broadcast communications, including news releases, experts lists, feature stories, op-eds, as well as video and radio spots and features.

Part of the Division of Communications, the office coordinates and collaborates with Creative Services and Web Communications to provide news content for the university's website and advance USC through strategic communications.

The Internal Communications writer produces stories and material for USC Times, the biweekly newspaper for faculty and staff.
