Fellowships & Scholar Programs with USC Stamps Scholars to Host Regional Conference

"From Good to Great: Finding Personal Excellence" is the conference theme for the Southeast Regional Stamps Scholar Conference, hosted by the USC Fellowships and Scholar Programs (OFSP) the weekend of February 5-7. OFSP is the home of the Stamps Carolina Scholars, a group of Top Scholars within the nationally-ranked South Carolina Honors College.

The USC Stamps Scholars have assisted in planning the three-day conference, and will also be active participants in the conference and will serve as hosts to our visiting Stamps Scholars from 10 colleges and universities throughout the Southeast and beyond.

Randy McDow, executive Director of the Stamps Charitable Foundation, will offer a welcome to kick off the conference on Friday evening, followed by an etiquette dinner facilitated by Georgia Holmes Doran, Director of Career management at the Moore School of Business. The 30th Student Leadership and Diversity Conference on Saturday will serve as the centerpiece for the weekend followed by a Mocktail Hour facilitated by Ms. Sally McKay of the McKay Consulting group. To conclude the conference, Dr. Kelly Crace, the Associate Vice President for Health & Wellness at the College of William and Mary, will facilitate a hands-on workshop, "Cultivating Academic Excellence."

Jan Smoak, associate director of Fellowships & Scholar Programs, shared: "We were honored when the Stamps Foundation invited us to design and host a regional conference for these outstanding undergraduate students. And, we look forward to hosting the Stamps Scholars, providing hospitality, and sending them back with great information and a growing network."
