Examination of e-commerce elements and retailer implications.
Understanding e-commerce elements and the retailer implications associated with the electronic business environment is essential for those in or who wish to enter the retailing industry. This course incorporates the fundamentals necessary for understanding the e-commerce environment: e-business strategy, e-marketing, social and mobile commerce, and ethical and technological issues related to e-commerce. This course is required for the Omni-Channel Retailing specialization. The course may be used as an elective for the Retail Human Resources, Corporate Retail Operations, or Retail Entrepreneurship specialization. The course is open to all persons who qualify for enrolling in a 700 level course at the University of South Carolina. Students are not required to be enrolled in the Master of Retailing major to take this course.
