Advanced examination of human resource management within retail organizations.
The employee workforce represents a retailer's largest controllable expense, and is also a critical factor in its success. As such, retail managers must understand their role in professional workforce management. RETL 640 investigates essential concepts in workforce planning, leadership development, compensation and benefits plans, regulatory compliance, labor relations, managing organizational change, the global workforce, and technology solutions. This course is required for the Retail Human Resources specialization and the Retail Entrepreneurship specialization. The course may be used as an elective for the Corporate Retail Operations or Omni-Channel Retailing specializations. The course is open to all persons who qualify for enrolling in a 600 level course at the University of South Carolina. Students are not required to be enrolled in the Master of Retailing major to take this course.

The proposer doees not need to attend the meeting.
1. So undergrads can take a 600 level course?
2. I'm not clear about the different work expectations for graduates and undergraduates. The total at the end is more than the research project's 100 points.
