Course content requires students to have an understanding of basic concepts in public health and an application of fundamental methods in statistics. As the cornerstone of public health, epidemiology and this course focus on the distribution and determinants of disease, surveillance, outbreak investigations, measures of association, screening tests, bias, and causal reasoning -- all of which require knowledge that PUBH 102: Introduction to Public Health and STAT 201: Elementary Statistics or STAT 205: Elementary Statistics for the Biological and Life Sciences or BIOS 410: Introduction to Biostatistical Modeling provide.
Please change as follows:
Add BIOS 410 as a possible pre/co-requisite class
Change STAT 201 and STAT 205 to be pre-/co-requisite class
I agree that PUBH 102 should be a pre-requisite only not a co-requisite class.
Just wanted to be sure - PUBH 102 should be a pre-requisite only not a co-requisite. All the statistical courses can be taken either prior to or concurrent to EPID 410.
