Career counseling theories, processes, and techniques, with emphasis on persons with disabilities and vocational placement. Identification of values, interests, abilities, and methods for obtaining, organizing, and utilizing career information to enable career success of persons with disabilities and disadvantagement.
This course is part of a program modification of the Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling (MRC) degree program. The course includes all content that is currently in RHAB 713 (Career Counseling Theories) and, as is consistent with current trends in clinical rehabilitation counselor education, incorporates elements of job placement and the world of work (from RHAB 712). For the program modification, the primary course designator is changing from RHAB to RCON.
