Anthropological study of gender, with emphasis on cross-cultural investigation of the interaction of biological, cultural, and environmental factors including intersections of race, social class, and sexuality as influences on gender behavior.
Justification for our request to renumber WGST 358 to WGST 207 is to match the course number change requested by Anthropology. The course will appear more appropriate to first and second year students as a 200 level. It will also be less confusing for students to understand the cross-listing if both course numbers are the same.

We’re happy to concur with your change.
What do we need to do to change our numbers so that they’re in agreement?

Over here in Anthro we are in the midst of trying a “rationalization” of our course offerings to make them more accessible to as broad a range of undergraduates as possible. To that end, we would like to renumber two of our WGST cross listed courses. The courses are:
WGST 351/ANTH 351 to ANTH 205
WGST 358/ANTH 358 to ANTH 207
If WGST wishes to retain the 300-level numbers for the WGST x-list, that is fine, but we feel that if numbered at the 200-level, they will be more accessible to a wider range of students. The content of the courses will not change.
If you agree with this, an email to me and Cat Keegan (copied) would suffice.

New Complete Bulletin Description should be Cross-listed Course: ANTH 207, not ANTH 358, right? Also should be New Cross-listing as ANTH 207?
Returned to correct cross-listings.
