There is no prerequisite listed in the Bulletin. This course should have one, it is an advance course.l
SPAN 312, 375, 380A, 380B, 400, 401, 500, 518, 524, 534, 538, 543, 555:
The proponent should provide consistent wording to the prerequisites for these courses. In particular, is there a minimum grade (some list C+ or better, other do not). I'd suggest removing the language about undergraduates; the "or consent of the instructor" would cover all graduate (and transfer?) students.
I'm forwarding to C&C. They can decide the appropriate action to be taken; I'll be happy to make any necessary changes but want to point out that I don't see that any change has been entered in APPS. In fact, when I checked the Bulletin, at some of these courses already have the proposed pre-requisited listed for the course.
Note that SPAN 401 is cross-listed with LASP 361, which will need to be similarly updated (even though there is no corresponding CCP in APPS).
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
