The previous corequisites included ECIV 320. However, ECIV 320 is a prerequisite for ECIV 325 or 327. In addition, ECIV 330 should be listed as a "prereq or coreq" because a student can take this class if has already taken or is currently taken ECIV 330. The Civil and Environmental Engineering department voted on this change during the October 3, 2016 faculty meeting.
This email is meant to inform you that upon review of your proposal, the Committee found some issues related to the presentation of your syllabus. The following contains review comments;
1. Separate learning outcomes for graduate students, tied to the additional expectations (an individual rather than a group project, and a research paper that is apparently worth nothing, so, what happens if a graduate student chooses not to do a research paper?).
Homework and quiz formats are explained. There is really no guidance provided for the project (undergraduate and graduate versions/expectations), or for the research paper.
The grading scale must include an "F"
2.Explanation for what is a "pass," or change to letter grade only.
Please return by November 21 to be considered at the December Faculty Senate Meeting.
