Addresses emerging professional issues.
This course is part of a program modification of the Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling (MRC) degree program. Although submitted as a "new" course, this course is actually a modified and strengthened version of our existing RHAB 730-Case Management class. It includes the essential aspects of case management and gives more attention to other functions of the professional rehabilitation counselor (such as life care planning). Other key functions such as forensic rehabilitation and expert witness status, which are required by our new accreditation standards, are now included and we've also made room for exploration of emerging professional issues that affect the practice of clinical rehabilitation counseling. For the program modification, the primary course designator is changing from RHAB to RCON.
