Historical imperatives for nursing are explored to aid in understanding the scientific base of nursing. Internal and external factors influencing the evolution of nursing as a profession, science, art, and practice discipline are discussed.
Course was changed to 2 credit and one credit of content moved to Freshman year as an online introductory nursing course.
The change to move one credit content to Freshman year is in response to student, advisor and faculty evaluation and is fully supported in nursing program.
