Since HRTM is proposing to drop MKTG 350 as a required course, then it need not be required as a prerequisite for HRTM 450. The instructors for that course believe that a prerequisite of “junior standing” is sufficient to ensure that students come into the course with an understanding of the basic hospitality and tourism concepts that they would have received from 100 and 200-level courses in HRTM that are normally taken at the freshmen level.
