Interpretation of film, television, and digital media, with particular attention to describing, analyzing, and writing arguments about the design of media works and their cultural impact. Carolina Core: 3AIU
The proposed changes are thoughtful and thoroughly articulated, and make a compelling case for how and why the existing course should be updated to reflect the needs of current students as well as the strengths of current faculty.
I think this will work to bolster the FAMS student base at the lower level and will also benefit the CORE curriculum by creating a FAMS-specific course for students interested in that field. From what I can tell, the metrics and deliverables seem in order—this seems like a good move.
I think these changes are a positive update and make the course timely now and in the future. I commend the DL platforms proposed as they will keep the interactivity and student engagement in the course. Well described and solid justifications.
Nice addition to our DL Core offering!
