On Friday October 14, 2016, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved the proposed move of iIT from HRSM to the College of Engineering and Computing. As such, it was approved that the Department of Retailing and School of Hotel, Resteraunt, and Tourism Management would require their students to take SPTE 274 rather than ITEC 264. The course is taught by the same instructors who previously taught the course for ITEC.
As a result, the course title needed to be changed to reflect the programs in the entire college.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We are moving your proposal forward to the Faculty Senate. There is no need to attend the Curricula and Courses meeting, but it is recommended someone from the department attend the next Faculty Senate meeting in case there are questions from the floor regarding your proposal.
One minor comment was raised in the review. There is no need to make any changes in your proposal, but please address this issue in the course syllabu when it is offered.
1. The syllabus should include the time for each section of the course.
We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
