In the grading scale, please use either percentages or points to avoid confusion. I would recommed using only points--the rest of your grading information is in points.
Identifying learning minutes is always a challenge. That said, 3000 minutes (50 hours or 16.6 hours in each of weeks 2,3, and 4 to "define the field" seems exaggerated. Perhaps it is because more explanation is needed for this assignment. The same observation would hold for the Annotated Bibliography assignment in weeks 7&8 for 2100 learning minutes (35 hours or 17.5 hours per week). Perhaps an expanded description of all of the tasks/assignments for this course would be helpful.
Never mind on how to earn discussion points--it is mentioned in "Provision for Course Content Intercations" of the proposal. It would be clear to have this specified in the assignments of the syllabus
Assignments could be expanded.
