At the request of the College of Engineering and Computing, CSCE 145 is being added as an alternative to the MGSC prerequisite for this course. Furthermore, the MGSC prerequisite is being changed from MGSC 298 (which has not been taught in many years) to MGSC 394, which is currently offered and provides an appropriate foundation for this course.
The College of Engineering and Computing concurs with the proposed changes in the prerequisites for MGSC 490,
Prerequisites: MGSC 298 and 390
Prerequisites: MGSC 298 or CSCE 145, and MGSC 390
Thank you for your department's assistance in meeting the instructional needs of our students.

Please indicate a minimum grade for each pre-requisite and/or co-requisite. Doing so will allow the pre/co-requisites to be enforced by Banner at the time of registration. A grade of 'D' indicates that the student passed the pre/co-requisite course. Some academic units choose to list a higher minimum grade, as deemed necessary by the department.
Please revise as discussed.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We are moving your proposal forward to the Faculty Senate. It is recommended someone from the department attend the next Faculty Senate meeting in case there are questions from the floor regarding your proposal.
Note, the effective date is Fall 2019 since it was not approved by the November cutoff Date.
We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
John Gerdes, Chair
