Acquisition of experiences required to plan, create, facilitate, and integrate appropriate instructional methodologies and technology within a Project-based Learning unit of study.
In both in college and the global workplace, success requires more than basic knowledge and skills. PK-12 students must learn how to take initiative and responsibility, solve problems, work in teams, and communicate ideas effectively. To this point, Project Based Learning (PBL) is one way certified teachers can engage their students in authentic, engaging, complex problems as well as addressing the knowledge and skills that are needed later in their educational and career pathways (Buck Institute for Education, n.d.). This is the second course in a sequence for teachers who have earned initial certification to fulfill the requirements for the State Project- based Learning (PBL) add- on certificate.
