Student performance has indicated that that current prerequisites for MATH 174 are set too low to ensure student success. At the request of the degree programs populating this course, we propose raising the prerequisites to the level of precalculus or higher.
The College of Engineering and Computing’s Departments of Integrated Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering concur with the proposal to raise the prerequisites of MATH 174. This change will increase the strength of our degree programs and directly address new ABET accreditation criteria. Thank you for doing this.

Please update the pre-requisite to match the Justification. Currently the pre-requisite does not list pre-calculus as a requirement.
