Universal Design is a curriculum framework used to meet the needs of all learners with various needs, ability, preferences, and learning styles. Understanding and demonstrating knowledge to effectively deliver universally designed physical education curriculum is a highly relevant skill for those who work with students with disabilities that are enrolled in general education. Universal design for Learning provides an avenue for physical educators to provide evidence-based best practice to a wide variety of learners to meet all students’ needs regardless of ability.
