An introductory course on why, when, and how to apply qualitative data collection and analysis methods to public health activities with a focus on practice-based application. Identifying, working with, and communicating with a range of community stakeholders are also discussed.
This course is one of four being developed to meet new accreditation requirements of the Council on Education in Public Health. The four new courses will replace the current five core courses and will be required for students in all Master of Public Health (MPH) programs. Program revisions will be submitted through APPS by fall 2018 for implementation beginning fall 2019. The courses will be offered in both distance and face-to-face formats and will be restricted to MPH students only.
