The new title better reflects the course content and allows a more direct and clear description of the course to potential students and employers.
Dear Beth (and Ken)
I am happy to concur with the change in title for the following course from IBUS 521/ANTH 521 "Business Anthropology" to “Ethnographic Methods in International Marketing.”
Course is cross-listed with ANTH 521 and so the change impacts Anthropology. Proposal will need concurrence from Anthropology.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We have approved the proposal and are moving it forward to the Faculty Senate. It is recommended someone from the department attend the next Faculty Senate meeting in case there are questions from the floor regarding your proposal.
The committee did notice one issue with the proposal. In the syllabus grade of C overlaps C+ in the Final Grade Calculation table. Please correct this in the syllabus the next time the course is taught.
We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
