This course satisfies the Adapted Physical Education Standards and is a required course for our new masters in adapted physical education
Since this course is a 600 level course and is not restricted to graduate students only, you should differentiate the learning outcomes, assignments, and grading scales for undergraduate and graduate students.
Add the following statement after the learning outcomes: All learning outcomes in this Distributed Learning course are equivalent to face-to-face (F2F) version of this course.
Add the following statement after the required textbook and readings sections: All readings/materials comply with copyright/fair use policies.
The syllabus should also address the Minimal student technical requirements/skills to complete this online course.
Include the estimated feedback time for assignments.
The academic integrity section should be expanded to include the university’s consequences for violating the policy. For example, you may want to add the following to the statement in the syllabus: All students must review the Office of Academic Integrity sanctions. This information may be found at http://www.housing.sc.edu/academicintegrity/sanctions.html One or more of the following sanctions may be imposed for Academic Integrity violations: 1) Expulsion from the University; 2) Suspension from the University for a period of no less than one semester; and/or Probation. A combination of the above sanctions may be implemented.
