Provides students the opportunity to integrate nursing theory, research and advanced nursing practice into a health care clinical project through interactive seminar format. Requires students to create a clinical project that transforms clinical practice for a selected population and incorporates process and outcome evaluations.
This course was created in order to standardize the DNP Project Proposal. Currently, students take NURS 840A as an independant study to meet the DNP Project proposal.
The professor will work with the College’s Director of Distributed Learning (instructional designer) to ensure course components are ADA compliant. Providing the course online will allow the department to accommodate the learning needs of working adult students in South Carolina and other states. The course materials incorporate basic accessibility features, provide for appropriate learning activities and allow for appropriate interaction.
NURS 783 is an existing course, Advanced Family Nursing: Intervention and Evaluation. Please choose another course number for this new course that hasn't been used in the past seven years. ACAF 2.03
See email communication below to address keeping this course number.
After reviewing NURS 783 in the Graduate Bulletin and the Banner Catalog, we will remove the old course (inactivate it) since it hasn’t been offered since 2001 or earlier. This will allow you to reuse the NURS 783 course number in your New Course Proposal. Please forward it for approval in APPS and I will approve it.
