This course will give students an overview of the theme park and attractions industry. We will explore each of the areas of this industry including: history, venues, resources, ride operations, merchandising, food service and design.
This course has been offered as a special topics successfully previously as a special topics class and it has been determined that it should be made a permanent class to be offered regularly.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We have approved the proposal and are moving it forward to the Faculty Senate. It is recommended someone from the department attend the next Faculty Senate meeting in case there are questions from the floor regarding your proposal.
During the review the committee did identify one issue that you may want to address. A separate learning outcome tied to the differentiated task for graduate students is recommended in the syllabus, but not required. You may want to consider adding that when the course is offered.
We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
