This is a new permanent special topics course specifically for undergraduate (UG) students. Special topics courses allow faculty to offer a temporary course on a trial basis and will also work well for Study Abroad courses that may change with each offering. As a special topics course, EPID 394 will allow all Epidemiology faculty (with and without graduate faculty status) to offer a new but temporary course that would also count as a cognate course in the UG Public Health curriculum. Special topics courses require department and school level approval each semester the course is offered, and the same course can only be offered a maximum of 3 times. The faculty member would still have the option to make the course permanent.
