The MS in Advanced Athletic Training program has moved from the College of Education (Department of Physical Education and Athletic Training) into the Arnold School of Public Health (Department of Exercise Science). Due to the move, we are changing the courses to reflect the new school and department.
1. Program Introduction: needed to be changed to reflect the Advanced Athletic Training Degree, it currently describes the doctoral degree in physical Education.
2. Program Requirements: the AT program is deleting potential option for MCBA 710-Special Topics in Gross Anatomy (3 credits) and MCBA-715 Cardiovascular Embryology (3 credits) as "required" courses for the degree. They will now be an option for a potential "elective" if supported and approved by advisor. The program has added in 2 new courses under degree requirements: ATEP 741-Advanced Clinical Skills in Athletic Training (3 Credits) and PUBH 700-Perspectives in Public Health (online - 3 Credits).
ATEP 741 is being added due to new compentencies being taught in Athletic Training Curriculums. PUBH 700 is being added to meet the Public Health School Requirement.
3. Elective Section: added in electives for any public health course approved to be inclusive to new courses in our new college.
4. Research Methology Section: We added new courses consistent with statitical courses housed in the Arnold School of Public Health vs. College of Education.
