A total of 18 credit hours in Jewish Studies courses is required in the following categories for a Jewish Studies Minor degree.
The Jewish Studies Program at the University of South Carolina is growing, in terms of courses cross-listed and offered, faculty affiliations, and in student engagement. The Program proposes offering an undergraduate minor to reflect this growth, and to increase the impact the Program has on the College. The undergraduate minor will allow students to link their learning through our Program's course offerings to their requirements in the students' majors (including Religious Studies, History, English, African American Studies, and Education) and through Modern Hebrew language instruction.
The College of Arts and Sciences looks forward to being able to add this minor to our offerings.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We are moving your proposal forward to the Faculty Senate. We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
