This proposal represents modest changes which align the program with the business world and better serve the students. The bulletin needs to be updated to reflect the course name changes, and the new courses, that have been proposed. These changes are to modernize and align the Management degree with the contemporary treatment of human resource management. We also needed better diversity on the mandatory courses, to prevent an enrollment bottle-neck situation with the students needing to take additional HR courses. The changes initiated here better reflect business's focus on talent management.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to the Committee on Curricula & Courses. We have approved the proposal and are moving it forward to the Faculty Senate. It is recommended someone from the department attend the next Faculty Senate meeting in case there are questions from the floor regarding your proposal.
We appreciate your patience and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
