Advisor: Dr. Germany
Education: I earned my undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education, at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana from which I graduated summa cum laude. I am currently in my first year of the University of South Carolina’s Public History Master’s program pursuing a museums concentration.
Bio: My research interests range from the history of technology to examining how communities commemorate and remember controversial history. After graduating from Taylor University, I accepted a position working as a middle school social studies teacher at West Nairobi School in Nairobi, Kenya. For two years, I had the opportunity to teach sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students from multiple countries a diverse array of history including American History, Geography, and Ancient History. I now look forward to stepping outside the confines of the classroom and learning how to make history accessible to a broader public.
