Zoom Line Allocation Review

Academic Year 2021-2022 Planning

The CAS Dean's Office is reviewing the use of unit-allocated Zoom lines as a part of planning for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year.  An online form has been created to help us assess current and future online video conferencing needs for your unit.  

UofSC DoIT supports Microsoft Teams and Blackboard Collaborate for online classes and conferencing. Campus network accounts are tied to both for easy scheduling, recording, and retrieval. There is also an actively supported webinar tool, Microsoft Teams Live Event, available for planning larger online campus events. Since they were first introduced, these tools have added additional features and functionality, including increased number of viewable participant panels, phone-in accessibility and the ability to invite non-UofSC guest participants.

If these tools will not meet your unit needs for Academic Year 2021-2022, you may request one or more Zoom accounts using the online form.  Please note that current Zoom lines in college units will not be automatically renewed. 

Please submit one form per unit.  All requests for the upcoming academic year must be submitted by Friday, July 2, 2021.
