Dr. Yen-Yi Ho’s recent R21 proposal “scDECO: A novel statistical framework to identify differential co-expression gene combinations systematically using single-cell RNA sequencing data” received a funding award from the NCI ITCR program. In this two-year project, Dr. Ho’s research team will develop a novel statistical analytical tool for detecting coordinated changes in genetic activities between various cell types from heterogeneous tumor samples using single-cell RNA sequencing. The scDECO framework will be freely disseminated as open-source software packages via the GitHub or R/Bioconductor repository.
