Fall 2019: Welcome to our New Faculty Members

The School of Visual Art and Design is excited to announce and welcome three new professors who will join our faculty this August:

Brent Dedas is an associate professor in Studio Art - Illustration. His studio practice centers on non-traditional mark-making that results from processes of time and chemical transformation.Prof. Dedas will be teaching ARTS 230: Drawing and ARTS 266: Illustration II in the fall 2019 semester.

Byeongwon Ha is an assistant professor in Media Arts - Creative Coding. His research traces the significant transition from analogue media, including film, architecture, and video to new media art. Prof. Ha will be teaching MART 380: New Media Art and MART 581D: Video Game Design in the fall 2019 semester.

Meena Khalili is an assistant professor in Studio Art - Graphic Design. She is an artist who uses design as a strategy for creation, and a designer who brings artistic methods to her solutions. Prof. Khalili will be teaching ARTS 102: Visual Arts Computing and ARTS 246: Graphic Design II in the fall 2019 semester.
