The purpose of the Academic Planning Council is to advise the Dean on all matters concerning the core academic mission of the College of Arts and Sciences, including but not limited to departmental self-studies, program reviews, and accreditation; introduction of new majors, programs, and degrees; strategic planning; assessment; and other key curricular and fiscal issues. Professor Caryn Outten has been elected to serve a two-year term.
