SPARC Recipients Awarded

The overall objective of the Support to Promote Advancement of Research and Creativity, (SPARC) Graduate Research Grant is to provide support and to encourage outstanding students to pursue exciting research directions during their graduate career at the University of South Carolina.

The 2020-2021  SPARC Graduate Research Grant Recipients:

Sakiru Abiodun and advisor Andrew Greytak recieved a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for their project entitled Structure and "Thermal Stability of Inorganic Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals through High Resolution Microscopy."

Allison Kimsey and advisor Caryn Outten recieved a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for their project entitled "Mechanistic Insights into an Iron-Responsive Repressor from S. pombe."

Gabrielle Leith and advisor Natalia Shustova recieved a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for their project entitled "Tuning the Electronic Structure of Covalent-Organic Frameworks."

Corey Martin and advisor Natalia Shustova recieved a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for their project entitled "Photochromic Layered Materials for Energy Storage Applications."

Zixin Wang and advisor Hui Wang recieved a SPARC Graduate Research Grant for their project entitled "Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Nanozymes with Peroxidase-Mimicking Behaviors."
