Do you need financial assistance? Apply for the W. David Rozkuszka Scholarship
The David Rozkuszka Scholarship provides financial assistance to an individual who is currently working with government documents in a library and is trying to complete a masters degree in library science. This award, established in 1994, is named after David Rozkuszka, former documents librarian at Stanford University. The award winner receives $3,000.
Apply using the documents here and send submissions to the Awards Committee Chair, Emily Rogers at ecrogers@valdosta.edu.

The application deadline for the 2019 David Rozkuszka Scholarship is December 1, 2018.

What is SPIDUR? The Summer Program to Increase Diversity in Undergraduate Research

This 8-week summer program for high-achieving under-represented, first generation, or disabled undergraduate students, provides research experience and professional development training in the student's field of interest.

How many students will be accepted into the program? The program will provide 10 undergraduate students funding to participate in an 8-week research program

Application deadline: 12:00 a.m. (EST) on December 14, 2018

Program length: 8  weeks during summer of 2019. The program will run from June 3, 2019 through July 26, 2019

Eligibility: Undergraduates must have a minimum GPA of 2.8, and between 50 and 90 credit hours by the end of spring 2019. Students who graduate in spring 2019 are NOT eligible for the program - candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate program from an institution other than UNC Charlotte to be eligible for SPIDUR.

Compensation: Scholars will receive a $4000 fellowship (taxable income) and will be compensated for housing costs. Students will be housed on campus but must pay their housing fees directly to the Housing Office.

Complete details regarding this summer program can be found here.

Internship/Job Searching - Activate your Handshake!
Starting this week, we will direct all employers to upload opportunities for students to view on Handshake. If you have not done so, now is the time to activate your account, upload your resume and build your profile. Handshake will be the central location to find internships and job opportunities going forward.
