USA Today sportswriter Analis Bailey will speak at the virtual 2021 “Rise Up” SIPA Convention.
Bailey, who is a UofSC SJMC alumna, worked for USA Today as an audience engagement editor before becoming a full-time sports reporter.
“I am excited … that the students attending the session dabble in a bit of everything. I can relate,” Bailey said.
The convention will be held from March 4 through March 7, and Bailey will speak live to attendees on March 5.
“In planning the convention, we discussed getting speakers who work in communications and are not far removed from the high school and college newsrooms," SIPA Director Leslie Dennis said. "Analis’s experience will connect with students in a unique way."
