MCEC welcomes new director of marketing and communications

The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing has appointed Nicole Doll as the new director of marketing. Doll began her new position on December 1.

Doll brings an extensive background in strategic, data-driven marketing and leadership. She has been responsible for integrated marketing initiatives across all departments, including education, community engagement and philanthropy. Doll has also successfully led marketing and communications teams and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders.

“It is an absolute honor to join the talented marketing team at the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing,” Doll says. “I am inspired by the college’s extraordinary momentum, and I am looking forward to leading marketing and storytelling efforts to elevate the college’s dynamic voice, broaden its influence, and attract exceptional students who will shape the future.”

Prior to arriving in Columbia, Doll worked in marketing in the non-profit field. She most recently served as vice president of marketing and communications at the Los Angeles Master Chorale, where she aligned strategies with business goals to enhance brand excellence. Her marketing efforts led to a record student enrollment and participation in the chorale’s education programs in the 2024-2025 season. Her pricing strategies also included the highest single concert revenue in the organization’s history.  

At the Cincinnati Ballet, Doll led marketing, communications, community engagement as well as enhancing brand presence. She managed a $1.3 million marketing budget and directed campaigns for Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy and achieved record enrollments. Her campaigns reduced costs by 30%, resulting in three consecutive seasons of record revenue.

Doll earned bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism and communications from the University of Southern California.
