On November 23, The University of South Carolina announced that it will adopt a required COVID-19 testing program for students, faculty and staff during the 2021 spring semester. A letter to the community outlined new procedures to follow upon return to campus in January 2021.
The program will require all students, faculty and staff living, learning or working
on the Columbia campus to demonstrate proof of a COVID-19 test prior to their campus
return. The program will also require monthly testing throughout the semester. Students,
faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of available, free on-campus testing
to meet these requirements.
