In an effort to provide graduate students with greater access to student services, The Graduate School opened a new Graduate Student Resources Hub on February 2, 2022 on the second floor of the Close-Hipp building, in Room 204. The primary mission of the Grad Hub is to provide a more integrated graduate student experience that holistically encompasses academic training and professional development for students at UofSC.
Through a collaborative effort between the University Career Center, National Fellowships, and the Graduate School, the Graduate Student Resources Hub will initially house the offices of Dr. Matt Klopfenstein, National Fellowships Coordinator, and Mr. Nigel Smith, the Career Center’s Manager for Graduate Student Advising. Adjoining classrooms will also be used for periodic workshops and events hosted in conjunction with the Graduate School. The Graduate School will expand the space to include additional services in fall 2022.
All members of the graduate community are encouraged to stop by and tour the Hub and learn more about the many exciting opportunities that will be available to students in this space.
