Joe was born in New York city, but grew up down south. He is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in Experimental Psychology and a minor in Counseling. In the same vein, he pursued and received his EdS in Counselor Education in 2019.

Joe has worked previously in mental health and as a school counselor at a local high school. He is passionate about people and eager to continue to develop the competencies vital to support students both academically and emotionally. His philosophy is “student-centric” and he is looking forward to fostering the talents and strengths of students in his school community.

Joe is incredibly excited to aid students in connecting the dots to taking ownership of their own learning journey. He is energetic and hopes to encourage those in his sphere of influence. A few of his research curiosities include resilience, mental health best practices and diversity factors in learning & development. In his free time, Joe enjoys playing guitar, watching sports, discovering new art and is an avid shoe collector. He loves conversation; ask him about what's for dinner or what he’s been listening to lately!
